| Following are some words from one of our participants
on our Navy Cadet Sail Training Voyages:
Hello Sarah,
I hope this gets to you. On behalf of the cadets of TS TINGIRA, I would to
thank you so much for the packages that we have all recently recieved.
We all came away with memories that we will carry for a lifetime.
For me personally it was a trip I was apprehensive about before hand,
but the care and expertise of yourself and crew made it very easy
to adapt to life at sea. I came away learning a lot about my self
and what limits I can push myself to, and also knowing
that upon my arrival home, face the possible passing of my father-in-law.
Fortunately for me he hung on those couple more days to see me and hear my stories.
A couple of weeks after we got back TS TINGIRA held the Victorian sailing
regatta at HMAS CERBERUS, it gave me the chance to catch up
with a lot of the other cadets.
Mitch in particular, he still could not stop talking about it. His unit TS
MELBOURNE won overall from TINGIRA but not by much, had my
Midshipman who was my coxswain decided to put the bungs in,
in the last race when would of came home the victors.
Thomas Runting enjoyed it so much is has applied and been accepted for a
voyage on The Young Endeavour in July.
Once again thank you for a fantastic journey with memories that
will stay with me forever. Please pass on my thanks to Dirk, Donough, Jan and
the crew for all their help, guidance, understanding and patience.
